From the Jackson Police Department –

At approximately 9:35 a.m., this date, May 25, Jackson Police were dispatched to a shotspotter alert in the area of 216 Roosevelt Parkway.

As officers were responding to the shotspotter alert, dispatch was receiving calls from residents about a subject that was shot on Roosevelt Parkway. Responding officers located a victim in the area who was transported via emergency medical services to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with serious injuries.

Jackson Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the shooting and ask anyone with information to call 731-425-8400.
