Law enforcement officials and the Madison County Highway Department and Tennessee Department of Transportation are working area roads and highways.
Two vehicles have traffic blocked at North Highland Avenue and North Parkway – avoid if possible.
Madison County sheriff John Mehr said his department not had any calls, and Bart Walls, Madison County highway superintendent said staff has been salting troubled areas.
“We put out a couple of tons of salt this morning,” Bart said. “Old Medina Road … hills, intersections. Temperatures are expected to reach 40 degrees Monday, but right now, we’re doing the best we can.”
The Tennessee Highway Department is reporting visibility is less than 50 feet for motorists.
