The Jackson Police continues an investigation into a ‘smash & grab’ incident that occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m., May 20, at JCPenney’s in the Old Hickory Mall at 2021 North Highland Avenue.

The incident came a few days before a ‘Smash & Grab’ at Kay Jewelers, which is also at the mall.

According to the report, five unidentified black males using hammers, shattered the jewelry counters taking an undetermined amount of jewelry.

According to preliminary information, the suspects supposedly left the scene in a black or dark colored SUV.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
