From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shots fired and property damage incidents that occurred in the 2600 Block of North Highland Avenue, at approximately 11:19 p.m., Sunday.

According to dispatch, officers heard shots fired and responded to the area of the Dodge Store on North Highland.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a hole in one of the windows of the business that appeared to be a bullet.

Officers also located property damage to a gas pump at another business in the 2600 Block which appeared consistent with damage from a bullet.

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are trying to locate a white Dodge Charger and black sedan seen leaving the area. The occupants may have information that would be beneficial in this ongoing investigation.
