From the Jackson Police Department –
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting near 194 E. Forest Avenue around 12:38 p.m., today.
A 26 year-old man was struck by one round and was transported to Jackson Madison County General Hospital with non-life threating injuries.
Investigators believe the victim was targeted and this was not a random act of violence.
