According to a press release, the Jackson Police Department continues its investigation into an early morning shooting that occurred in the Lincoln Courts Housing area.
Around 2:10 a.m., the Jackson Police responded to a shooting in the area of 255 Lincoln Courts where responding officers located a female who had sustained a gunshot injury.
This female was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Currently, Jackson Police have a suspect in custody and are not looking for any additional suspects.
