Armed Robbery of a Person with Shots Fired at Vann Drive Sonic
​[JACKSON, TN] — The Jackson Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery involving gunfire that took place at the Sonic located at 1052 Vann Drive.

The incident began when a victim met an individual to sell property. During the exchange, the suspect brandished a firearm, leading to a physical struggle inside the victim’s vehicle. During the altercation, shots were fired within the car; fortunately, the victim was not struck.

​The suspect fled the scene in a white SUV. Utilizing FLOCK license plate recognition cameras, patrol officers quickly identified and tracked the vehicle to the area near Northside High School. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle briefly fled before stopping on Northside Drive. Two armed occupants fled the vehicle on foot and a passenger remained in the vehicle and was secured immediately. A perimeter was established, and K9 units assisted in locating the two fleeing suspects, who were quickly detained.
​The victim received treatment for minor injuries at the scene. While three individuals are in custody, the investigation remains active and ongoing. Further details will be released as they become available.
