From the Jackson Police Department –

Around 3:45 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to shots being fired in the area of Casey Jones Motel located at 1943 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass.

One male was found shot multiple times and one male suffered a stab wound.

Both were transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with what appeared to be serious life threatening injuries.

One of the victims was later transported to a hospital in Nashville.

Suspects involved are two white males last seen with no shirts, black shorts and a black male, no shirt, white shorts.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area of the 45 bypass in a silver SUV.
