Second Man Charged in 2012 Beating Death at Breaker's Billiards;
Anthony Swift Charged with Second-Degree Murder of Kenneth Brasher
(October 3, 2013) Jackson, TN – 32 year-old Anthony Antonio Swift, of Jackson, has been indicted and arrested in connection with the 2012 beating death of 45 year- old Kenneth Brasher.
Investigators presented the case to the Madison County grand jury on Monday, Sept. 30. An indictment was returned charging Swift with second-degree murder.

Swift turned himself in around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail. Swift is scheduled to be arraigned at 8 a.m. Monday in Madison County Circuit Court, Division I.
Swift is the second man charged in Brasher's murder. On Aug. 29, Travis Holliday, 33, of Jackson, pleaded guilty to
voluntary manslaughter.
Holliday was sentenced to four years in prison and remains in custody at the Madison County Jail pending transfer to the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
On June 17, 2012 around 12:30 a.m., Jackson police were called about an assault at Breaker's Billiards, located at 701 S. Royal Street. Brasher was found lying on the floor inside the business. He was transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and was later pronounced dead from blunt force trauma.
The investigation indicated that Brasher was struck in the head with a bar stool following an altercation.
Investigators developed Holliday as a suspect. He surrendered around 5 p.m. on the day of the murder.
The ongoing investigation has shown that Swift and Holliday were involved in Brasher's murder.

JMCSS Teacher Assistant Arrested
(October 3, 2013, Jackson, TN) – Anthony Antonio Swift, a special education assistant at
Jackson Careers and Technology Elementary School, turned himself in to authorities
yesterday afternoon. He was being sought by the Jackson Police Department to face a
charge of second degree murder, stemming from an incident in June of 2012.
Swift has been employed as a special education assistant since October of 2010. He has
been suspended without pay from his duties with the school system pending an investigation.
