The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued Step 50 of the Emergency Load Curtailment plan due to extremely low temperatures across our region.

To avoid major outages, JEA and other local power companies are asking customers to curtail the usage of non-essential items.

Additionally, local power companies have been requested by TVA to implement rolling blackouts. This means that service to an area will be interrupted for 15 minutes, restored, and interrupted in a different area.

This will continue until Step 50 has been terminated by TVA. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this unusually cold weather. We will notify customers when Step 50 has ended.
