Jackson AMP
JACKSON Tn (August 29, 2014) — Do you hear it? Only the music of Jackson and West Tennessee could connect Memphis’ Beale Street and Nashville’s Music Row. Join us as we celebrate the rich musical legacy of our region with Jackson’s newest music venue Jackson‘s Amphitheater at the Market (AMP).

The season continues Friday, September 5, with Morgan Briar Bluegrass opening at 7:00 pm for Stacy Mitchhart. Mitchhart’s music incorporates all sorts of styles into his music, Country, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, and early Rock and Roll, to build his own unique sound. But, at its core, it’s the Blues.

Mitchhart’s awards and accolades include his 2012 induction into the Canadian Blues Hall of Fame, a Billboard debut at #6 for his “Live from BB Kings” CD, a first round Grammy Nomination in 2007 for his album, “Gotta Get The Feelin’ Back Again”, the prestigious “Albert King Award” from The Blues Foundation, “Blues Entertainer of the Year,” “Blues Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Blues Guitarist of the Year,” “Electric Blues Act of the Year”, “Acoustic Blues Act of the Year”, and “#1 Blues recording of 2004” from Music City Blues Society, and the “#1 Blues recording of 2001” by the New York Jazz and Blues Society.

Stacy Mitchhart currently plays over 250 shows yearly in front of over 100,000 fans while traveling close to 60,000 miles. Independent filmmaker Tim Hardiman released the documentary “NASHVEGAS Blues” based on the story of Mitchhart’s life and premiered on The Documentary Channel in November 2009.
