The Jackson Police Department is proud to announce the Tennessee Narcotic Officers Association 2018-2019 Officer of the Year for the Western District of Tennessee, Investigator Steven Pomeroy.
According to the Unit Commander for the Metro Narcotics Unit, Investigator Pomeroy is a huge asset to the Metro Narcotics Unit, the Jackson Police Department, the City of Jackson and Madison County.
Pomeroy has a rare dedication for his job. He takes personal interest in each case giving it his utmost attention. Pomeroy manages heavy caseloads and puts in astronomical hours while never neglecting his role as husband and father.
Over the last year, Investigator Pomeroy has led 116 investigations and made more than 100 felony arrests.
He has executed nearly thirty search warrants and personally seized 203 grams of meth, 1501 grams of marijuana, 35 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of crack, 131 grams of heroin, 814 pills, 10 firearms, 3 vehicles and more than $30,000 in currency.
