Officers and investigators with the Jackson Police Department are investigating the first shooting death of 2019, Saturday.
At approximately 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to 201 Magnolia Landing to a call of shots fired.
Officers responded to the scene and located a deceased victim with gunshot injuries.
Jackson Police are continuing to process the scene at 201 Magnolia Landing. However, Jackson Police need assistance locating a burgundy colored older model Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis with rust on the rear of the car. The occupants of this vehicle may have information that is essential to this ongoing investigation.
