Members of the Jackson Planning Commission approved five proposals during their monthly meeting at Jackson City Hall, Wednesday.
Jackson Creek, a subdivision located on the north side of Hopper Barker Road, was submitted for review by DMC Development, LLC – Jerry Winberry.
The subdivision consists of 19 lots on about 7.26 acres.
After the administrative review, the planning, engineering and JEA engineering staffs recommend approval of the construction plat with the following conditions:
* The developer signs the Subdivision Contract
* The developer signs the City Development Permit
* The developer pays the $200 City Development Permit fee
* The developer submits a copy of the TDEC Notice of Coverage permit
The Commission also approved McAlexander Family Partners for a subdivision that creates 21 new building lots on Westhaven Place on the north side of Ashport Road at the 650 Block with the following conditions:
*The developer provides to the Jackson Energy Authority a $6,300 wastewater system development fee
*The developer provides to the Jackson Energy Authority a $4,200 water system development fee
*The developer provides to the City of Jackson a $32,800 street performance security
*The developer submits to the City of Jackson a $39,100 sidewalk performance security
*All inspections and testing will need to be completed prior to the final plat
The Commission also approved a new security gate for Grace Manor Apartments, 427 Princeton Street, which is located between Lambuth Boulevard and Campbell Street.
The Planning Commission approved a request to close and abandon a portion of Gin Street, between Young Street and the west margin of N&S Railroad.
The Commission approved a request to close and a portion of an alley that runs between Westwood Avenue, Campbell Street, Prospect Avenue and North Lake Drive.
