The Jackson Symphony will open its Pops concert series with special guest, Jackson native and singer/songwriter Brandon Lay, Saturday, October 14 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

“Don’t Fence Me In” will celebrate the music of the American West and will feature familiar country tunes from the big screen, television and radio.

Brandon Lay, who climbed the country charts with his single “Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers,” grew up in Jackson, attended Union University, and moved to Nashville upon graduation.  He returns home to perform alongside The Jackson Symphony orchestra, singing some of his own music as well as premiering his brand new song “Backwoods Symphony.”
