JACKSON, Tenn —More than 150 Firemen and guests from across the state of Tennessee will convene for the 83rd Annual Tennessee Firemen’s Association Convention at the DoubleTree Hotel, Jackson, Tennessee May 19-21, 2016.

The event is chaired by Tennessee Firemen’s Association President Lynn Price of the Bolivar Fire Department. The Bolivar Fire Department will host the event including opening ceremonies, numerous training courses and motivational speakers, as well as social events at the Jackson Generals Baseball Park and the Old Country Store.
The convention culminates with an annual banquet announcing the 2016 Lewis Baker Service Award and 2016 Firefighter of the Year Award. “As the President of the Association, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the participants, sponsors and organizers for all of their support in bringing this event to Jackson and West Tennessee,” stated Chief Lynn Price. “Our goal as the organization serving Tennessee firefighters from rural all-volunteer fire departments to the largest career departments is to increase training opportunities and be responsive to the needs of our membership.”
