Fireworks – sponsored by Jackson State Community College – follow this evening’s 6:05 p.m., game between the Jackson Generals and the Birmingham Barons at the Ballpark at Jackson.
The Generals (2-0) – the Double A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks – send Eric Jokisch to the mound to face Birmingham’s (Chicago White Sox) Michael Kopech.
Jackson remained unbeaten with a 3-2 win Friday.
Offensively, the Generals made the most of four hits, one a solo home run by Victor Reyes, and Josh Taylor (1-0, 1.80 ERA) struck out nine Barons in five innings of work to earn the win.
