The Jackson Energy Authority’s Board of Directors approved eight resolutions during their monthly meeting at The Tennergy Center, Thursday.
“JEA’s Board of Directors approved eight business items today and heard reports on recent industrial announcements,” Monte Jones said, “JEA president/CEO Monte Cooper gave updates on some existing infrastructure projects and spoke about the Georgia Pacific and 6K Energy industrial announcements.
“Both projects could eventually be in the top group of utility clients for JEA.”
Monte Jones is chairman of the Board of Directors, Jackson Energy Authority.
Resolutions authorized or approved included –
- The purchase of stock distribution transformers – GRESCO Utility submitted the low bid of $177,070.34
- The authorization of a contract for conducting the 2023 Gas Leak Survey -Surview Field Services, Oneonta, Alabama submitted the low bid of $99,445
- The approval of a contract for the cleaning, repairing, and painting of the Bedford White Water Tank – Currens Construction Services, LLC; Harrodsburg, KY, submitted the low bid of $341,500
- The authorization of a contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC for Wastewater Division the for cured-in-place pipe rehab project – Insituform submitted the low bid of $293,172.50
- The authorization of a contract with CTR Coatings, Knoxville, TN, for manhole rehabilitation for the Wastewater Division – CTR Coatings submitted the low bid of $60,600
- The authorization of a professional engineering services agreement for telecommunications infrastructure design, maintenance and training – Andrew Gerrish submitted the low bid of $168,000
- The approval of a five-year contract on Customer Information, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Meter Data Management Systems – CSA submitted the low bid of $2,293,615
- The authorization of a purchase of five replacement service bodies for Ford trucks
