Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors approve 5 resolutions during monthly meeting

The Board of Directors of Jackson Energy Authority approved five resolutions during their monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Thursday.

The Board authorized resolutions for –

A professional engineering services agreement for the Electric System Long Range Plan.
The purchase of one new 70-foot insulated tree trimming aerial device on cab & chassis for the Electric Division.
The purchase of JEA truck service body.
The purchase of a Meter Data Management System.
The board also approved a resolution affirming JEA’s Identity Theft Prevention Policy and included procedures to comply with revisions of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act.

“The JEA Board of Directors met today to discuss five new items of business, which were all approved,” Monte Jones said, “Those items included a professional services agreement for long term planning in the electric division, equipment purchases, a new data management system and affirmation of the identity theft policy.”

Monte Jones is the chairman of the Board of Directors at Jackson Energy Authority.

“The data management system does provide additional safeguards for identifying potential issues with billing such as undetected water leaks for residents as well as being a source for additional power usage information that can be provided to industrial clients,” Jones said, “The board also changed meeting dates due to upcoming holidays to November 18 and December 21.”
