The Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors considered 10 resolutions during its monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Tuesday.
“Equipment purchases, engineering services, GPS units and improvements to two facilities were all approved,” said Monte Jones, JEA’s chairman of the Board, “The board also reviewed additional safety solutions for its data security.”
Monte said management requested JEA to authorize participation in the Tennessee Valley Authority Home Uplift Program which will allocate funds to be used in conjunction with this TVA program to assist qualified homeowners with upgrades to their residence that would create energy savings.
“These upgrades could be made after a review of the home and would be made to improve areas such as insulation, windows, and doorways,” Monte said.
