The Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors passed seven resolutions, during its monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Tuesday.
The Board –
Authorized the purchase of 12-inch ductile iron pipe for water main extension along Windy City Road for new development – Southern Pipe Supply Co., Horn Lake, Mississippi, submitted the low bid of $62,832.
Authorized the purchase of an enterprise backup and recovery solution.
Adopted telecommunications service rate adjustments – Channel 2 through 23, the rate increases $2.90 to $38.65. Channel 2 through 83, the rate increases $5.70 to $99.95.
Authorized JEA to execute an agreement with Harmonic, Inc., for VOS SaaS services for the Telecommunications Division – the amount is not to exceed $200,000.
Authorized the purchase of Viavi Gigastor 32T for the Telecom Division – SHI International Corp., Austin, Texas, submitted the low bid of $74,351.53.
Approved 1) administrator of JEA’s medical and dental insurance plan; 2) approved provider of reinsurance for medical plan; 3) approved provider of life/accidental death and dismemberment and long-term disability insurance.
Reaffirmed JEA’s Identity Theft Prevention Policy and included procedures to comply with revisions of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act.
