JACKSON, Tennessee – Jackson Christian School, a private, Christian-based college preparatory school located in Jackson, Tenn., hosted ‘See You at the Pole’ National Day of Student-Prayer on their campus with area youth and children’s ministers joining the event.
According to a press release from Janet Wylie – Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Jackson Christian – students age three through grade 12 participated in songs of praise, devotional, and prayer with faculty, staff, and area ministers.
“’See You at the Pole’ is an important opportunity for us as a school to partner with our community and pray for our students and for our city,” said Luke Guard, Jackson Christian Director of Spiritual Life, “We understand our students face difficult circumstances every day, so we take this time to rally around them and pray with them. We also encourage area ministers to join us and champion our students.”
‘See You at the Pole,’ the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school.
Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. ‘See You at the Pole’ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God.
