Jackson Chamber announces 2021 Leadership Jackson class participants

The Jackson Chamber is pleased to announce the nominees selected for its 2021 Leadership Jackson class.

According to a press release from Brittany Crockett, Social Media & Online Content, Adelsberger Marketing, Leadership Jackson is a leadership development program for community members who demonstrate leadership potential.

Sponsored by the Jackson Chamber, the program is an opportunity for local professionals to learn more about the community and the challenges it faces.

The class participated in a full day information session in early September to get acquainted and find out more about what their Leadership Jackson experience will entail.

The session was led by Leadership Jackson 2021 Chair Nick Hayes, General Manager, Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical and Vice-Chair David Knack, Director of Business Development, Town & Country Realtors – Joey Hale.

In two weeks, Leadership Jackson class members will start with a get acquainted session.

“I am excited to begin working with the 43rd Class of Leadership Jackson,” said Nick Hayes, “The selection committee has put together a phenomenal class of talented individuals. Leadership Jackson has a long history of producing exceptional leaders for their careers but also for the communities that they live in.

“I am looking forward to watching this incredible group of professionals create lifelong bonds, strengthen their leadership skills and learn more about the resources that Jackson and Madison County has to offer.”

Class members will meet weekly for sessions on various topics. A leadership skill-building component is incorporated into each session. Leaders in key areas, such as health care, criminal justice, economic development, quality of life, education and government will share an overview of the present state, challenges, and future vision.

This information provides the class with a broad understanding of the inner-workings of Jackson-Madison County and a big picture view. It also engages them in a self-analysis of where they can best make a positive impact by getting involved or by being a resource for their company or sphere of influence.

“Leadership Jackson is a transformative opportunity for emerging leaders in our community to build relationships with one another, to learn more about the challenges Jackson faces and the strengths it possesses,” says David Knack, “Relationships are everything – in business and in life. Leadership Jackson gives emerging leaders the opportunity to develop relationships around the common goal of making Jackson a stronger and healthier community for all who call it home.”
