Jackson-based High Point Logistics acquires American Cold Storage

Jackson, Tennessee – High Point Logistics (HPL), a freight logistics provider specializing in moving refrigerated proteins, produce, and products, announced the acquisition of American Cold Storage, a state-of-the-art cold storage facility with locations in Jackson and Humboldt, Tennessee.

American Cold Storage offers 30,000,000 pounds of cold storage space and the capability to blast freeze perishable food goods.

The acquisition positions HPL as a one-stop solution in the transport and storage of temperature-controlled proteins, produce, and products for customers across the country.

“HPL is stronger today because the value-driven culture at American Cold Storage aligns with ours,” said Adam Ferguson, President and CEO of HPL. “Relationships are the most important piece of our business, both with our customers and our team members. With this acquisition, we are set up to serve our customers more effectively at different stages of the food products’ movement, processing, handling, or storage.

“Our goal is to continue to expand cold chain services to our customers that relate directly to these needs…No matter where it is or what it is, we can keep it cold for them!”

With foreseeable growth, job opportunities are currently available at the downtown Jackson office in the areas of sales and dispatching.
