The Madison County Grand Jury handed down felony indictments on four additional people for their involvement in the introduction of contraband into the Madison County Jail, Dec. 28, 2017.
These indictments are related to the case involving similar charges brought in October 2017 against former Madison County Jail Detention Specialist, Joshua James Gandy and his girlfriend, Jennifer Lynn Carter.
These individuals were, at the time, either Madison County Jail inmates who allegedly
possessed or conspired to possess cell phones unlawfully inside the jail; or were friends or
family members of inmates and allegedly aided or conspired in obtaining cell phones for the
purpose of them being introduced into the jail in exchange for money or drugs.
All five people have been taken into custody and are charged as follows:
Gregory Gill, Jackson – Introducing Contraband into Jail (2 counts), Conspiracy to Introduce
Contraband into Jail, Conspiracy to Sell and/or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Gregory Gill is currently in custody on unrelated charges at the Tennessee Department of
Corrections. A detainer has been placed for the new Madison County charges.
Sangria Baker, Jr., Jackson – Introducing Contraband into Jail. Sangria Baker, Jr., is currently in
custody on unrelated charges at the Tennessee Department of Corrections. A detainer has
been placed for the new Madison County charges.
Cornelius Jones, Jackson – Introducing Contraband into Jail. Cornelius Jones was already in
custody in Madison County on unrelated charges.
Lillie Ann Gill, Jackson – Introducing Contraband into Jail. Lillie Ann Gill is the mother of Gregory
Gill, and is being held at the Madison County Jail.
