Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will have major lane closures this weekend along I-40 and the US Highway 45 By-Pass to place steel bridge beams over the interstate.
The upcoming closures are as follows:Â
Saturday, April 21, and Sunday, April 22, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
I-40 east and westbound traffic will be detoured to the on and off ramps at Exit 80 (US Highway 45 By-Pass).
The US Highway 45 Bypass south and northbound at the interchange will be closed to erect steel beams for the US Highway 45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate.
NOTE: All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.
