The Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will have major closures this weekend in Jackson to begin placing steel bridge beams over Interstate 40.
TDOT says the following major closures will affect traffic this weekend:
Saturday, March 24, and Sunday, March 25, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Close and detour I-40 east and westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 Bypass).
Close and detour US 45 Bypass south and northbound at the interchange to allow for steel erection of the US Highway 45 Bypass bridge over Interstate 40.
All work is weather dependent and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
