Road work schedule for next seven days in Jackson –

U.S. 45 Bypass and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps to Old Hickory Blvd for paving and construction of retaining walls. Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Saturday, May 11, 6 a.m.-7 p.m.: Intermittent lane closures on I-40 west and eastbound between MM 83.0 and MM 78.6 to install traverse advanced warning rumble strips at the beginning of the construction zone. The rumble strips are meant to supply advanced warning before the speed reduction in the work zone. Also the ramp from southbound US 45 Bypass to I-40 eastbound will have a temporary closure to install rumble strips in order to supply advanced warning of the ramp merge on to westbound I-40.

Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.: Intermittent lane closures on Carriage House Dr. westbound, right lane only to allow for construction of a wall. One lane to remain open at all times.

Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Intermittent left lane closures on Hwy 45 Bypass (SR 186) north and south bound, to allow for construction median wall, concrete island, and the ramp from northbound US 45 Bypass (SR 186) to eastbound I-40.
