MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. (July 28, 2015)- An inmate in Madison County Jail is accused of hitting a jail employee in the face and breaking his nose.
According to the Madison County sheriff’s department, Joseph Woodruff was being moved from the booking area to a housing cell, say woodruff was irate to employees, and he allegedly struck one employee.
Joseph Woodruff is in jail on multiple charges including Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping charges
In May Woodruff was captured by U.S. Marshals on the Robbery charge but not before he led police on a brief chase and held the driver hostage.
New charges are expected to be filed.
