Humboldt’s Stephon Shivers dismissed by University of Florida Gators

Humboldt’s Stephon Shivers, one of the most sought-after high school football players in the nation in 2024, has been dismissed by the Florida Gators.

Shivers, who transferred from Humboldt High School to Brentwood Academy for the 2024 season, originally committed to the University of Georgia, but signed with Florida, was arrested on third-degree felony charges of false imprisonment after he was accused of violence by an alleged victim following an argument over information located on the alleged victim’s cell phone.

According to published reports, Shivers, who faces a felony charge punishable by five years in prison and fine of $5,000, is under house arrest.

Shivers, a 6-5, 366 pound true freshman defensive lineman, was expected to contribute to the Gators for the 2025 season.
