Humboldt Ferrell Street Shooting Suspect Charged

HUMBOLDT Tenn (March 27, 2017) – On Friday, March 24 Humboldt police responded to a shooting at 2725 Ferrell St. A suspect was taken into custody soon after the incident.  Police have now charged that suspect.

Shortly before 1:00pm on Friday Humboldt officers responded to the 2700 block of Ferrell Street regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers say they made contact with 18-year-old Daniel Clay Mcbeth, and a 34-year-old visitor to the home. Police discovered the visitor had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police now allege that the investigation shows Mcbeth shot the victim after the two exchanged words.

Daniel Mcbeth was taken into custody and subsequently charged with Attempted Second Murder.

The victim who was shot is being treated at The Med in Memphis, TN and is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Daniel Mcbeth is currently being held at the Gibson County Jail without bond until his next court appearance scheduled for March 29th.
