HUMBOLDT CITY SCHOOL SYSTEM RELEASED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT
(April 15, 2014) HUMBOLDT Tenn – Humboldt City Schools is proud to announce and welcome Dr. Versie Hamlett as its Director of Schools. Dr. Hamlett brings with her over nineteen years of experience in the education field.
She comes to us from the Jackson- Madison County School System, where she has been serving as Chief Academic Officer since October 2013.
She has also served as Supervisor of Elementary Education for Jackson-Madison County for three years, Principal of Andrew Jackson Elementary Magnet School for one year, Principal of North Parkway Elementary Magnet School for three years, Assistant Principal at Arlington International Leadership Elementary Magnet for one year and teacher at Pope Elementary School for eleven years. Dr. Hamlett also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Lane College.
Dr. Hamlett holds a Doctorate degree in educational leadership from Union University and has completed the Tennessee School Board Association Superintendents Academy.
She will begin her duties on May 1, 2014. We are pleased to have Dr. Hamlett on board and look forward to her bringing her leadership abilities to Humboldt City Schools.
