Homicide, Remains Identified as Missing Person, William Holland

Homicide Indicated, Suspect in Custody in Knoxville

William HollandOn Saturday October 2 William “Bill” Holland, 52, of Bartlett, was reported as a missing person to the Jackson Police Department. It was reported that he was last seen in Jackson on September 26. On Wednesday October 6 around 12:30 p.m., the remains of an unidentified white male were found behind the business at 935 N. Highland Avenue. The body was sent to the State Medical
Examiner’s Office in Nashville for identification and cause of death.

With the assistance of the Knoxville Police Department, Robert James Rudolph, 33, of Morristown, was developed as a person of interest in Holland’s disappearance. Rudolph was arrested by the Knoxville Police Department around 11:40 last night in Knoxville.
Jackson Police issued an arrest warrant today charging Rudolph with First Degree Murder in Perpetration of Especially Aggravated Robbery and a hold has been placed on him. Rudolph will be transported from the Knox County Jail to Jackson as soon as possible where he will face charges.
