JACKSON Tenn (June 22, 2015) – A man police believe forced his way in a residence then threatened and robbed the occupants is behind bars
According to Jackson Police, the victims reported a black male, later identified as Nathanel Collier, forced his way in the house and threatened to kill them if they didn’t give him money.
According to the victims, Friday evening someone knocked on the front door and when they answered the man forced his way in the house. He told the two residents he had a gun and would shoot them if they didn’t do what he said. He then demanded money, according to court records. The man kept his hand behind his back but the victims believed he had a gun. He eventually revealed he did not have a gun but he was armed with a knife.
Collier remained in the house approximately 30 minutes before leaving.
Nathanel Collier was developed as a suspect and the victims later positively identified him from a photo line up.
Collier remains in custody in the Madison County Jail awaiting his next court appearance.
