For the first time this football season, a team other than Crockett County and Haywood stands atop the Bakers Rack ‘Baker’s Dozen’ High School coaches poll.

Huntingdon, the lone remaining unbeaten, laid claim to No. 1 in this week’s poll.

1) Huntingdon (9-0) – defeated Perry County, 62-0. Next game: At home vs. Middleton, Friday.

2) Covington (7-1) – defeated South Gibson County, 49-21. Next game: At home vs. Crockett County, Friday.

3) Haywood (6-2) – handed Crockett County its first loss of the season, 63-35. Next game: At home vs. Liberty High School.

4) Munford (7-1) – open date: Next game: The Cougars host Kirby, Friday.

5) Dresden (7-1) – open date: Next game: The Lions play at Gleason, Friday.

6) Waverly (6-1) – The Tigers beat East Hickman, 68-29. Next game: At Scotts Hill, Friday.

7) Milan (5-3) – The Bulldogs won 34-7 at McNairy Central. Next game: Milan faces Lexington at home, Friday.

8) Crockett County (7-1) – The Cavaliers lost 63-35 at home to Haywood. Next game: At Covington, Friday.

9) USJ (5-3) – open date. Next game: At Lausanne, Friday

10) Dyersburg (6-2) – The Trojans defeated Ripley, 49-14. Next game: At Chester County, Friday.

11) Peabody (6-2) – Lost at McKenzie, 22-20. Next game: The Golden Tide plays host to TCA, Friday.

12) South Gibson County (6-2) – lost 49-21 at home to Covington. Next game: Craigmont at home, Friday.
