High Point Apartments at Jackson Walk adds value to the neighborhood

The momentum created by the revitalization of downtown Jackson continues on West Deaderick Street, where High Point Apartments at Jackson Walk has leased 45 of its 120 units in less than five months time.

Each apartment – furnished or unfurnished – is one-bedroom and the square footage ranges from 575- to 660-square-feet.

Rent varies from $830 to $875 for each apartment, which offers all appliances, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven and clothes washer and dryer.

The complex offers a swimming pool for its residents and a free monthly membership to the LiFT Wellness Center at Jackson Walk.

New home construction also continues to add to the landscape.

“In the last five years, we have built and sold 35 homes here at Jackson Walk that has added $6.2 million worth of value in new single family homes,” said Chris Alexander, vice president of retail and residential sales for Healthy Community LLC, “Our homes range from $150,000 to $270,000.

“We have seven (more) under construction, with plans for another 10 by the end of this year.”

The project is being developed by Memphian Henry Turley and Jackson’s Hal Crocker, who co-developed Jackson Walk Phase I.
