Health Department – vaccine appointment website operational; 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccine appointment scheduling website is operational again. The Rapid Response List is also available again.

According to Mallory Cooke, Public Information Officer, Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department, the Health Department is currently only scheduling appointments for Madison County residents ages 70 and older as well as individuals included in Phase 1a1 and Phase 1a2.

Schedule an appointment online at www.madisoncountytn.gov. If you don’t have internet access, call our COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Line (available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at 1-888-796-8894.

  • The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 80-year-old female died Jan. 29 and an 89-year-old female died Jan. 30 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 172 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 18 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,679 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 9,880 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 6 to 71.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
