The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms five additional COVID-19 deaths. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 249 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 73-year-old female (died 8/13/21)
- 56-year-old male (died 8/14/21)
- 71-year-old female (died 8/14/21)
- 78-year-old male (died 8/15/21)
- 59-year-old female (died 8/16/21)
The health department has received positive test results for 361 more cases of COVID-19 since Aug. 17, 2021. We now have 13,840 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,831 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
