Health Department confirms 322 COVID-19 cases in Madison County; up 9 from Friday

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 9 more confirmed cases of COVID-19. We now have 322 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include:

  • 26-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
  • 65-year-old male (hospitalized)
  • 17-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 16-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 21-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 24-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
  • 56-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 25-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 57-year-old male (hospitalized)

Our Epidemiology staff is still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized.

Two hundred fifteen Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 23 people say they are feeling better.
