JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for nine more confirmed cases of COVID-19. We now have 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
Eight of the nine newest cases resulted in testing at American Health Communities (AHC) West Tennessee Transitional Care. We are working to determine whether these eight individuals are residents of Madison County. Right now they are included in the Madison County count because the facility is located in our county. Epidemiology staff are still gathering demographic information for these eight cases.
The ninth newest case is a 45-year-old female. Epidemiology staff is still trying to reach this individual, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time.
