The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has received positive test results for 166 more cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021.
We now have 19,016 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 18,144 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
The health department has noticed an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among people living around and in close contact with positive cases. We encourage eligible residents to get a COVID-19 vaccine and booster, wear a mask in indoor public places, and get tested to prevent spreading the virus to others.
