The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 67-year-old male died March 17 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 213 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for three more cases of COVID-19. We now have 11,014 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,429 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 38 to 61.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
