Jackson police respond to multiple calls regarding shots fired and gun

violence.

It started with a report of shots fired in Lincoln Courts, east Jackson.

Then a short time later officers were called to the area of Hays and Oak

street regarding a gunshot victim.  Officers located a victim who was

transported to a local hospital.

The second call came out around 2:00 P.M. The extent of his injuries is

unknown at this time

There is also an investigation into a possible armed robbery that

allegedly occurred in the area around the same time frame.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
