From the Jackson-Madison County School System
Girls’ Flag Football is now an official varsity sport in Jackson-Madison County Schools.
South Side, North Side, Liberty, Jackson Central-Merry, Madison and Jackson Central-Merry Early College High will compete in a 10-game season – kicking off in March – bringing a new level of excitement to high school athletics.
JMCSS is the first district West Tennessee district outside of Memphis, public or private, to add this emerging TSSAA sport.
This historic addition provides our female athletes with another opportunity for competition, teamwork, skill development and fun.
At the end of the season, the district’s top team will earn a spot in the TSSAA Girls’ Flag Football State invitational in May.
