JACKSON TN – U.S. Marshals served a warrant at a North Jackson apartment, and after the
suspect made a brief attempt to flee they arrested Cory Gentry
Gentry has outstanding warrant on federal charges stemming from a 2014
case with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms
U.S. Marshals Jeff Love said when Marshals Service knocked on an Old
Humboldt Road apartment door, Gentry answered the door but attempted to
run. After a brief standoff Gentry allowed marshals in the residence.
Love said Gentry opened the front door before slamming it in front of
marshals and running outside onto the back patio. Gentry went back into the
apartment and eventually allowed marshals inside, Love said.
Investigators found narcotics and two handguns, a .45 caliber and .38
caliber pistol.
ATF spokesman Michael Knight said Gentry may face additional charges for
the items found in the apartment on Tuesday
