Today, at approximately 9:56 a.m., John McKenzie Williams, Jr., age 30, of Jackson, Tennessee, was taken into custody without incident at a residence at Howlett Cove in Jackson, through the joint efforts of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson Police Department.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office would like to especially thank the collaborative efforts of our local law enforcement agencies in successfully fulfilling this operation.
At approximately 9:35 a.m. Thursday, April 11, John McKenzie Williams, Jr., 30, of Jackson Tennessee, was being held for processing at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.
Williams had just previously been arrested by court security on a Failure to Appear warrant out of Circuit Court. While Williams was in the booking area, a Correctional Officer was returning through an exterior and interior door, Williams was able to push the correctional officer and flee through that same exterior door.
