The number of early voters increased again Tuesday, when 682 ballots were cast in the August 6 State Primary and County General Election. The breakdown for the primary participation today is:
Republican Primary – 388
Democratic Primary – 287
County General Election only – 7
The overall total is 2,268 with the following breakdown for the primary participation:
Republican Primary – 1,171
Democratic Primary – 1,048
County General Election only – 49
Early voting will continue through August 1. The voting location in Madison County is at the Madison County Agricultural Complex auditorium located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson.
Voting hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., on weekdays, and 9 a.m. until noon on Saturdays.
