The number of ballots cast totaled 446 in Early Voting, today, in a runoff to select Scott Conger or Jerry Woods as the next Mayor of Jackson.
The number of votes for the first eight days of Early Voting is 5,405.
Conger and Woods received the majority of the votes in the May 7 Election, but neither had the necessary 50 percent, plus-one to win the race outright.
The number of Early Voters at the eight day mark in the May 7 General Election was 3,669.
The number of Early Voters in the May 7 General Election was 6,555.
NOTE: Early Voting in the 2015 Mayor’s race totaled 7,142.
Voters registered in the City of Jackson can cast early ballots weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 9 a.m. to Noon, Saturdays, through Thursday, June 13.
Election Day is June 18.
In order to vote, a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. Government must be presented.
