Early voting ended on Saturday with a large turnout.

405 votes were cast in the three hours of voting on Saturday. 207 of those ballots were cast in the Republican Primary while 197 ballots were cast in the Democratic Primary.

1 voter opted to vote only in the county general election.

The total amount of early and absentee voters for this election thus far is 7,519.  Of those voters, 4,245 voted in the Republican Primary while 3,151 voted in the Democratic Primary.

123 voters voted only in the county general election.

In this same type election four years ago, 6,128 had voted by this point.

Election Day is on Thursday, August 6. Voting will be held at the 33 polling places throughout Madison County.  If you do not know your voting place, you can visit our website at www.madisonelection.com and check your voter registration information to find your location.
