Early voting – Day 2

The pace picked up slightly for early voting, Thursday, in Madison County with 218  voters casting ballots in the Presidential Preference Primary – 130 voted in the Republican Primary, while 88 voted in the Democratic Primary.

This brings the total of votes cast in this election to 555, with 302 total votes in the Republican Primary and 253 total votes in the Democratic Primary.

Early voting continues each weekday and on Saturdays through February 25. Weekday hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. – Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon.

The exception is Monday, February 17, when the Election Commission closes in observance of President’s Day. The early voting location is the auditorium in the Madison County Agricultural Complex located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson.

Voters must present a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the United States federal government.
